Getting Started

Visit our sign-up page and complete the short form. The process takes under 2 minutes. Accounts are activated within 1 business hour and you will receive 50 free SMS credits immediately upon activation.
Yes. Every new account receives 50 free SMS credits on sign-up. No credit card is required. The credits are valid for 30 days and can be used on any Sri Lanka network to test delivery speed and quality.
No. There are no setup fees, no monthly subscription fees, and no minimum spend. We operate a pure prepaid credit model — you buy credits and pay only for what you send.
Your account is activated within 1 business hour of signing up. Credits are available immediately. Most new customers send their first message within minutes of their account being activated.
You will need your business name, email address, mobile number, and a brief description of your intended use case. No company registration documents or ID are required to start a free trial.

Pricing & Billing

Starter tier: Rs. 0.75/SMS for up to 50,000 SMS/month. Business tier: Rs. 0.60/SMS for 50,000–500,000 SMS/month. Enterprise accounts receive custom pricing. See our full pricing page for details.
Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are automatically extended each time you make a new top-up. Active accounts effectively never lose their credits.
We accept Visa and Mastercard, local bank transfers in LKR, and supported online payment gateways. Business accounts can request monthly invoicing — contact our team to arrange this.
Log in to your account at portal.srilankabulksms.com, navigate to Billing, choose the amount you wish to purchase, and complete payment by card or bank transfer. Credits are added to your account instantly.
Yes. Volume discounts are automatically applied as your monthly volume increases through the pricing tiers. For volumes above 500,000 SMS/month, contact our sales team for a custom enterprise pricing quote.

Technical & API

We provide a RESTful JSON API. Requests use standard HTTP POST and GET with Bearer token authentication. Full documentation is available at portal.srilankabulksms.com/docs.
Log in to the portal, navigate to Settings > API Keys, and click Generate New Key. You can create multiple keys for different applications and rotate or revoke them at any time without downtime.
Standard accounts have a limit of 100 API requests per minute and 1,000 SMS per minute. Higher throughput limits are available for enterprise accounts — contact our team to discuss your requirements.
Yes. You can configure a webhook URL in the portal under Settings > Webhooks. We will POST real-time delivery status callbacks to your endpoint as each message is delivered, failed, or expires.
Standard GSM-7 encoding supports up to 160 characters per SMS segment. Unicode/UCS-2 is supported for Sinhala and Tamil scripts, providing up to 70 characters per segment. Encoding is handled automatically.

Yes. We provide full Unicode support for both Sinhala and Tamil scripts. The platform automatically detects Unicode content and handles encoding transparently — no special configuration required.
Yes. Alphabetic sender IDs of up to 11 characters are supported for most Sri Lanka networks. Custom sender IDs are subject to carrier approval and are available on Business and Enterprise plans.
Our direct routes to Sri Lanka networks achieve 97–99% delivery rates for transactional and OTP messages. Promotional SMS may be slightly lower due to carrier-level DND (Do Not Disturb) regulations.
